*The Mercer Canada Goose Zone will be open during The Division of Wildlife is planning to operate controlled dove hunts at Fallsville, Rush Run, Spring Valley, Indian Creek, and Bott wildlife areas, and the St. Marys Fish Hatchery. These controlled hunts will occur during the first 2 days of the season (Saturday, September 1st – Sunday September 2nd); hunting hours will be noon to sunset. Controlled dove hunts will be held at St. Marys Fish Hatchery on Sept. 1, 2, 8, 15, 22. Drawings for opening day dove hunts at these 6 public hunting areas will be held on Saturday, August 25th (noon) at the respective public area headquarters.
